Comedy, Connection, & Climate Courage: FLC's 5th Anniversary Benefit

  • Good Works Ventures 129 West Alder Street Missoula, MT, 59802 United States (map)

Please join us for an evening of comedy, connection, and climate courage on Friday, May 2, from 4:30–6:30pm at Good Works Ventures, as we celebrate 5 years of Families for a Livable Climate - and help power the next five (and beyond!).

In a time of uncertainty and division, building resilience through community is more important than ever - and laughter is one of the best tools we have. We’re thrilled to welcome comedian Sarah Aswell to help us cut through the noise of the moment, lift our spirits, and fill our cups with humor and connection; all while supporting local climate leadership, powerful storytelling, and grassroots momentum across Montana.

“When it comes to talking politics, taking on sensitive topics, and making fun of our most terrifying current issues, comedy isn’t just okay, it’s imperative.” - Sarah Aswell

Doors open at 4:30pm, program at 5:15pm. Drinks and snacks provided, kids and additional guests welcome. Space is limited so please RSVP here.

Meet Sarah Aswell

Sarah Aswell is a writer and comedian living in Missoula, Montana. Her humor writing has appeared in places like The New Yorker, Reductress, National Lampoon, and MAD Magazine.  An alum of the Big Sky Comedy Festival and HBO’s Women in Comedy Festival, she was recently named one of the best unknown comedians in America by Thrillist, which is one of those insults that sounds like a compliment. She’s been voted Best Comedian in Missoula for four years running.
