Help Missoula Reduce Waste – Join the #SkiptheStuff Volunteer Team!
Tired of seeing single-use plastics pile up from takeout and delivery? Want to help Missoula reduce foodware waste but not sure how to get involved?
Now’s your chance: become part of the first volunteer cohort for #SkiptheStuff Missoula!
At this kickoff training, you'll learn how to support local restaurants in offering customers the option to skip unnecessary single-use items—like utensils, straws, napkins, and condiment packets. The solution is simple, effective, and good for business.
#SkiptheStuff Missoula is a local, volunteer-driven campaign inspired by a successful national initiative. The goal? To reduce the mountains of waste created each year by single-use food accessories that most people don’t need—and don’t use.
Together, we can help restaurants make the shift toward a less wasteful future.
Join us for this impactful training, led by MontPIRG intern and project lead Alena Flocchini, in partnership with MT Plastic Free Missoula and the Families for a Livable Climate – Beyond Plastics Working Group.
Take action. Support local businesses. Skip the stuff!
