PSC District 4 Candidate Conversation

Support Racial Justice and Stand with BIPOC Communities
We believe that the fight for racial justice is paramount in our fight for climate justice.
Please join us today at the Missoula County Courthouse from 10:00-12:00 as we participate in the #SayHisName: George Floyd. #StopKillingUs Rally., hosted by Natasha Kalonde and University of Montana Black Student Union, to honor George Floyd and all of the black lives lost and threatened by systemic oppression and violence, and demand justice for them and their families.
If time and energy allow, you are welcome to stay after and attend the ongoing Friday Climate Strike from 12:00-1:00, which will occur at the same location, however we ask everyone to emphasize and give priority to the earlier demonstration, to honor and stand with people of color.
Thank you for supporting Earth Day. Now what?

A recording of the event, and a short podcast about the rally, are posted. You can watch and share from missoulaearthday.org. And check out Earth Day Art for All at Climate Smart Missoula's website!
Here is a list of concrete actions that you can take now in Montana to begin making a difference, as well as long term campaigns that need your help.
Support Strong Communities for Climate Action

To win strong climate action in Montana, we need a majority of Montana families to join in the fight for a livable future—that happens through outreach, deep organizing, and strong community connections. Help us make it happen.

Commit to a just, livable and vibrant future
We need a new normal, in which life is valued above profit, and where deep inequities are seen for what they are, failures that threaten the health of our entire community.
The seeds we plant matter. The stories we tell in this time matter. Life is fragile and precious. Let’s rise up in love and joy and fiercely protect it.
Two quick actions on public health and climate that matter to Montana now!
As we shelter in place, ever grateful that we have a Governor who is attuned to our values, as well as math and science, and acting accordingly to help keep our communities safe, there is still so much troubling news. What can we do? Engage in mutual aid, call to check on our neighbors, stay home. Today and tomorrow you can also make two very important calls for protecting public health and climate in Montana. Take action today!
