Across the country, families are feeling the strain of political division, climate disasters, and uncertainty about what comes next. But here in Montana, something powerful is taking root.
At Families for a Livable Climate, we believe the path to a stronger, more equitable, and climate-stable future begins in community: when people come together to listen, learn, and lead with love.
This year, families and volunteers across the state stepped up in extraordinary ways:
Advancing major pollution and clean energy bills all the way to the governor’s desk, laying the groundwork for future success.
Mobilizing hundreds of Montanans to speak up at the Legislature and Public Service Commission.
Joining a landmark national, youth-led climate lawsuit.
Growing a 2,700-strong statewide network of families, students, and advocates.
Now, we’re ready to take the next step.
With your support, we’ll scale our Climate Leadership Program and grassroots Working Groups - training more leaders; reducing participation barriers through transportation support, stipends, and childcare; and expanding our reach statewide, with a focus on rural, tribal, and underrepresented communities.
We’ll support Montanans in leading campaigns that shift policy, improve business practices, and implement climate-friendly infrastructure. We’ll deepen our partnerships, strengthen our storytelling, and continue to build the community power that drives lasting change.
Because this - organizing, connecting, supporting one another in action - is how we build the grassroots foundation for lasting climate solutions: led by families, powered by community, and made to endure.
