Community Is the Antidote to Despair: Thank you for supporting us this spring!

On a recent spring evening, supporters gathered to celebrate five years of climate storytelling, local action, and growing community power at our 5th Anniversary Benefit. Families for a Livable Climate’s spring fundraiser was more than a party - it was a reflection of who we are and why we do this work: because connection is what gives us courage, and joy is a climate solution.

We kicked things off with poetry (check out Kate’s poem and accompanying artwork here), then heard moving words from our Executive Director, Sarah Lundquist, and our founder, Winona Bateman, about the origins of our work and the hope that grows through connection. We were honored by community voices sharing what Families for a Livable Climate means to them - and we ended the night with laughter and insight from Missoula’s own comedian and activist, Sarah Aswell.

We’re thrilled to share that, through this spring campaign and Missoula Gives, we raised nearly $15,000 to power our work for community-based climate action in Montana!

Thank you so much to everyone who showed up, spoke up, and gave generously. We are deeply grateful for your involvement and support over the past 5 years, and look forward to the next 5 years of connection, action, and climate courage!

If you missed the chance to give or want to keep the momentum going, we welcome ongoing donations. Together, we are transforming concern into real climate solutions.

Huge thank you to our event sponsors: Cool Earth Creamery, Good Food Store, Highlander Brewing, Worden's Market, Draught Works, Western Cider, and Pattee Creek Market.
