Get Involved: Host a Community Climate Conversation

Scientist Kathryn Hayhoe shared an amazing statistic in an interview last year. Three-quarters of Americans hear about climate change from someone they know only twice every year—that’s right, only twice a year. She summed up the impact of this silence very clearly: “If we don’t talk about it, we won’t care about it, and we won’t take action.”

Families for a Livable Climate will work over the next year to promote more conversations about climate.

This summer, we are planning community climate conversations for Missoula and beyond, starting in August and September. We are looking for people who would like to host a hour-long conversation of some kind in their community (we will have different formats), and gather 5-15 people to join in the event.

If you’re interested please fill out this short form and we will be in touch to put it on the calendar.
