Join the Billings Climate Coalition for a documentary film screening of One in 500. One in 500, created by Hugo Sindelar of MSU’s film department, is a community-driven environmental documentary chronicling the devastating floods that affected Yellowstone National Park and its surrounding gateway communities in June of 2022. It was a “1 in 500 year event”.
Gripping footage and a wide range of interviews put the viewer in the midst of a climate-related crisis as local as Red Lodge, Gardiner, and Cooke City and as recent as 2022. Filmmaker Hugo Sindelar of MSU and local officials will respond to questions following the one-hour documentary. What are the implications for the Yellowstone Valley?
Panelists include Hugo Sindelar, Film Producer, and
Water Quality Superintendent, Louis Engels, who helped protect Billings from deleterious flood effects.
