Climate can be a surprisingly difficult thing to talk about, especially when people have different experiences, beliefs, or perspectives. But meaningful conversations don't have to be debates.

Join Families for a Livable Climate for a potluck and interactive workshop where we'll explore why climate concern can feel more isolating than it really is and practice practical tools for listening, connecting, and staying grounded across differences.

You'll learn about the spiral of silence and pluralistic ignorance, explore what happens in our bodies during challenging conversations, and practice skills you can use with friends, family, coworkers, neighbors, and community members.

You don't need to consider yourself a climate organizer to participate. If you've ever wanted to talk about climate but weren't quite sure how, this is for you. Bring a dish to share, a friend, or just bring yourself! (Please BYO plate/utensils!)

This workshop kicks off FLC's three-part Bozeman Engagement Series, a sequence of gatherings designed to build relationships, resilience, and collective capacity for local climate action.
