Heather White is the founder of OneGreenThing, a nonprofit dedicated to tackling eco-anxiety through joyful daily action. Her work bridges environmental advocacy with mental health, empowering individuals to discover their unique “climate superpowers.” With over two decades of experience in environmental law, nonprofit leadership, and public policy—including roles with the National Wildlife Federation, Environmental Working Group, and Yellowstone Forever—Heather brings a wealth of insight and inspiration to our community.
Her latest book, Eco-Anxiety: Saving Our Sanity, Our Kids, and Our Future (HarperCollins, 2024), offers a compassionate roadmap for navigating climate overwhelm. She’s been called “the Brené Brown of the environmental movement” by consumer advocate Erin Brockovich, and her media appearances span NBC News, PBS, and The New York Times.
