JOIN GLOBAL CLIMATE STRIKE ACTIONS IN MISSOULA AND BOZEMAN
On Friday, September 23, as part of the international Global Climate Strike, Families for a Livable Climate (FLC) supporters and their children will deliver our letter to NorthWestern Energy’s Board of Directors and executive leadership signed by more than 1,000 Montanans across the state demanding that the company make a plan to transition to clean, affordable renewable energy.
The Global Climate Strike is an international day of action involving coordinated protests led by youth and their supporters who advocate for urgent measures in all sectors to address the growing climate crisis.
This year’s global event and its theme of #peoplenotprofit is inspiring actions around Montana on Friday, September 23:
Join Families for a Livable Climate at 9:15 a.m. at the Missoula office of Northwestern Energy (1903 S Russell St) for a family rally marking the delivery of their 1,000+ signatures to NorthWestern Energy’s Board of Directors and executive leadership. (Before then, there is still time to sign!)
At noon in Missoula, join Fridays for Future Missoula for a rally at Main Hall on the University of Montana campus.
At 4 p.m. protesters are meeting on the sidewalks of West Glacier to move from the main bridge and work their way toward the post office.
At 4:30 p.m. in Glenn Rotary Battery Park, Bozeman, join Sunrise Movement Gallatin County as they demand that monopoly utility NorthWestern Energy prioritizes #PeopleNotProfit!. Details here and on Instagram.
