POSTPONED: Climate Action Park Playdate: Take Action for a Clean and Affordable Future - Missoula

  • Bonner Park 1600 Ronald Avenue Missoula, MT, 59801 United States (map)

EVENT POSTPONED DUE TO POOR AIR QUALITY. WILL BE RESCHEDULED WHEN POSSIBLE.

Join Families for a Livable Climate and Pedal Missoula on Tuesday, July 27, from 4 - 6 p.m. at Bonner Park to take action for a clean and affordable future. We’ll be set up in shade near the splash deck.

In Montana, NorthWestern Energy is planning to fuel our families’ futures by building new gas power plants. In our opinion, this plan really stinks. Gas is toxic in our homes, toxic to our climate, and gas plants are darn pricey (good for their shareholders, but really bad for us ratepayers). Plus Montana is poised to lead the world in renewable energy!

Sign a statewide petition, and join us to sign (or create artwork for) our GIANT card and send a personal message to NorthWestern’s leadership to let them know that Montana families want clean and affordable energy that helps ensure a livable future for us all.

At home, one way we can all save money and help reduce emissions is by biking for transportation.  But what about with kids and groceries? At this event, our friends from Pedal Missoula will have some cargo bikes on hand to try out, and they will be available to answer questions about bike transportation with cargo and kiddos in tow.

We will have some art activities for smaller kiddos, and other resources as well.  Join us!
