May 22 - Friday Climate Strike

  • Missoula County Courthouse 200 West Broadway Street Missoula, MT, 59802 United States (map)

Every Friday from 12-1 p.m., we invite you to rally with us as we climate strike for a livable future.

Locations may change from week to week, so check in for updates here and on Facebook.

In light of Covid-19, we have made some modifications to our strikes in order to minimize the possibility of transmission and to ensure our community's health. Please read the following carefully so we can keep striking on the streets!

SPACING PROTOCOL: Please spread out and maintain at least 12 feet between yourself (or your household) and other strikers or passers-by. Ideally, choose the nearest unoccupied street corner.

ALL STRIKERS MUST YIELD TO THOSE PASSING BY IN ORDER TO MAINTAIN SOCIAL DISTANCE OF 6 FEET!

BRING YOUR OWN SIGNS! No signs will be provided. Try to use supplies on hand so as not to make any unnecessary trips to the stores. Big, simple and bold signs work best to carry our message over longer distances.

WEAR A MASK, cause it's the kind thing to do.

NOTE: If you're sick, immunosuppressed, or at risk for exposure to Covid-19, please take care and avoid the strike. If you attend, please wash hands in advance. We will update plans if needed as the situation changes in Montana.

Why #climatestrike?

We are part of a global movement and our presence is an affirmation of the need for strong, immediate climate action, as well as recognizing the importance of supporting our youth and connecting as a community. When you join a strike, you affirm for everyone that the climate crisis worries you, and you want action.
