Urge Governor Bullock to Step Up on Climate Change
Governor Steve Bullock can do more on climate change. With the growing momentum at the federal level — with bipartisan support for the Green New Deal — Governor Bullock could step up now at the state level by joining the U.S. Climate Alliance, and put the state in position to lead on renewables, helping to ensure an affordable and livable future for Montana families.

Dear Governor Bullock,
I am writing today to urge you to take a leadership role in the climate change movement.
As I look to the future for my family, I am gravely concerned about the economic, human and environmental cost of climate change. We can no longer afford to ignore this imminent threat to our social stability and economic prosperity. Wildfires cost money, extreme weather costs money. Impacts on public health cost money. We can’t afford to ignore it.
There is momentum at the federal level with the Green New Deal sponsored by Sen. Ed Markey (D-MA) and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY).
At the state level, I urge you to join the U.S. Climate Alliance. Your leadership would send a powerful signal to Montana that we can become leaders in the inevitable move away from fossil fuels. We can create jobs and do our part to ensure a livable climate for all Montana families.
Montana is an innovative, resilient, tenacious state. Let’s show the world we can lead.
